Peter Gronquist, the artist who brought you a Pac Man grenade, has now turned his attention to the fashion industry, churning out weapon after weapon emblazoned with designer logos. Versace rifles and Fendi chainsaws are admittedly a little frightening at first glance (can you imagineDonatella with one?), but I can’t turn away from the iconic designer insignias I know and love! Just think: you’ll be the chicest at the gun range!

Leave it to Marc Jacobs to create a perfume that is delightfully fragrant and utterly summery. My latest swoon-worthy scent? The new Splash Collection fragrances that are completely mouth-watering. Uniqlo has signed another chic collaboratrix! Agyness Deyn and her sister Emily have concocted a T-shirt line as part of the brand’s ongoing UT Project, a collection of limited-edition styles. J’adore the rocker prints and sawed-off sleeves! Oh, FYI: Emily, 22, lives right here in New York and runs a design company known as HusseinDeyn.

Quick: which iconic designer does this apartment make you think of? If you answered Jean Paul Gaultier, gold star for vous! (If you answered anyone else, I think you’re on the wrong website.) The former abode of French architect Jacque Carlu has had Christian Lacroix and Martin Margiela take the design reins in the past (in 2008 and 2009), but 2010 belongs to JPG, who decked the place out in his signature Breton stripes. Sure, it makes us a little dizzy—-but beautiful fashion does that to us sometimes too, non?
Hats Galore
(NEW YORK) There is no place for nihilism, minimalism, or insecurity at the Central Park Conservancy’s Frederick Law Olmsted Awards Luncheon. There is, however, room for jealousy. After all, we’re talking about what’s known as the Hat Luncheon—-go empty-headed at your own risk.
Bill Cunningham, David Patrick Columbia, and Nick Hunt stood at attention as a thousand-odd ladies (and a smattering of hommes) descended the stairs into the Observancy Garden, where they were greeted by a flock of hostesses anchored by Gillian Miniter, the president of the Women’s Committee of the Central Park Conservancy. Eric Javitz, le responsable for the most fabulous hats,admired the procession of headgear. Just fab!
Rapunzel, Rapunzel
These mile-high hairdos are simply fit for a Gaga. CuldeSac and Studio Marisol will offer a workshop this summer at C.I.R.E.C.A. (Centre International de Recherche et d’Education Culturelle et Agricole, in the southwest of France), from July through mid-September. The class, appropriately titled, “Crazy Hair,” will teach students how to cut and style human locks into something quite grand. I fear if I were to don one of these colossal creations I would topple over, but if you can keep your equilibrium, the result is quite chic!

After seeing this charming exchange at the Time 100 dinner, I’d really like someone to please, please tell me that Donatella and Bettyare going to be best friends.
